Mark S. Goldman, DDS – Latham Oral Surgeon, Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Mark S. Goldman believes oral surgery does not have to be a difficult and traumatic experience. He does his best to address patient concerns at the consultation before the surgery, and during the surgery using relaxing anesthetic techniques to allay anxiety.
Although born in Utica, Dr. Goldman spent much of his growing-up years in Virginia. He attended the University of Virginia and earned his B.A. there. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Medical College of Virginia, and served as a dentist in the U.S. Army. During his Army days, Dr. Goldman developed an appreciation for the surgical aspects of dental practice, and so after leaving the service, he spent four years in a post-graduate program for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery again at the Medical College of Virginia. He has been a practicing oral surgeon ever since.
Liking the winter weather, he moved to Albany in 1987 and began working for 1st Advantage Dental of New York (formerly Community Health Plan). He was formerly involved in the dental residency training program at Albany Medical College. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as a member of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Society Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
