Stephen Knoll, DDS — Saratoga Springs Dentist (general dentistry)
Dr. Stephen Knoll believes that giving patients the utmost care and available information is very important. He enjoys helping his patients and through the years he has made many friends with his great patients.
Dr. Knoll received his Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology at Towson State University and then went on to the University of Maryland for his Dental Degree. He came to the Albany area for advanced training at Saint Peters Hospital.
Dr. Knoll has enjoyed a successful practice in Saratoga Springs since 1987. He moved into the 381 Church Street office in 2004. He enjoys cosmetic bonding and implants, and has had a long and wonderful career here in New York. Dr. Knoll has developed skills in Endodontics (Root Canal) and treating TMD (TMJ). He has helped many patients who suffer from muscle pains in the head and neck. These patients can get relief with evaluation of symptoms and correcting dental as well as nutritional issues.
Dr. Knoll enjoys jazz, restoring British Sportsters, tennis, golf, skiing and trying to get his 46 peaks in the Adirondacks. Dr. Knoll will pick up his saxophone and play a beautiful song or two whenever he has down time, either at home or in the office. He and his wife, Nancy, enjoy traveling to visit their beautiful grandchildren whenever possible.
William G. Switts, DDS – Saratoga Springs Dentist (general dentistry)
Dr. William G. Switts is affectionately called the “Captain” by the staff at the Saratoga office of 1st Advantage Dental of New York. He has practiced dentistry since 1979 and has a calm demeanor, generous spirit and keen sense of humor making him a favorite among his patients. As his nickname implies, Dr. Switts came to 1st Advantage Dental of New York from a career in the U.S. Navy. He retired as a Navy dentist in 2002 after 28 years. Through his Navy experience, he has lived and practiced dentistry all over the world, including on ships and in jungles.
Dr. Switts graduated from SUNY in Albany, New York, with a degree in Biology. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University. After graduation, Dr. Switts entered active duty in the Navy and was promoted to the rank of Captain before his retirement.
Dr. Switts currently resides in Saratoga Springs with his wife, Colleen, and loves the area for its cultural activities and restaurants. He is very active in his church and enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.
