1st Advantage Dental of New York offers several payment options and the Dental Care Advantage Senior discount program (for patients 55 and older) offering a 20 percent discount on dental care as well as significant savings on vision, hearing and chiropractic care (cannot be combined with insurance).

Payment Options

For patients with insurance: 1st Advantage Dental of New York accepts most insurance plans including GHI, Delta, Guardian, Metlife and Cigna. Plans may vary by office. Patients should contact the individual office to verify insurance acceptance. There may be a payment (copayment or estimated patient portion) due at your appointment (date of service) based on your insurance plan. The patient’s final financial responsibility can only be determined by the patient’s insurance company and may be different than the payment collected on date of service.

For patients without insurance: Payment is due in full on the date of service.

Payment options:

  • Wells Fargo Health Advantage, which provides patients with a convenient way to pay for dental procedures. Contact your 1st Advantage Dental of New York practice for more information or to apply.

Patient responsibilities:
  • Patients are responsible to pay the estimated portion for services at the time the dental service is provided, regardless of any dental insurance benefits.
  • Unpaid account balances greater than 30 days will be charged a finance charge of 2% per month (25% APR).
  • In the event of non-payment, the patient is responsible for any collection and/or legal fees associated with the collection of balance due. The collection fee is 25% of the total balance.
