Whitening — Whitening is most frequently done by the cosmetic dentist using custom-fit mouth guards formed from an impression of the patient’s teeth. The trays then fit securely around each tooth. The whitening gel is applied in the trays and the trays are inserted into the mouth. Your dentist will offer either night or day whitening gel solution depending on your preference. Patients typically see results of whiter teeth within two weeks. Whitening trays are available at all 1st Advantage Dental locations.

Zoom!® whitening is another teeth whitening option. Zoom! is performed in the dental office by a dentist or dental professional. The procedure takes about two hours. A special gel is applied to the teeth and a special light works with the gel to break up stains and discolorations. The gel is applied in three, 20 minute sessions. After about two hour, the patient’s smile will be about eight shades whiter. Zoom! whitening is not for every patient and is not available at all locations. Veneers — Our cosmetic dentists may also fit you with custom veneers. Veneers are a thin tooth-colored porcelain covering placed over the front side of the tooth. They are generally placed on the upper front teeth that are severely discolored, poorly shaped or slightly crooked.
